Here on earth by alice hoffman review.

it was a very moving book meant to reach out to young adults and tell a story of love and betrayal. it teaches us it is not always smart to follow your heart. March Murry has an affair with her childhood sweetheart only to learn he is not the same person as when they were children. Alice Hoffman's writing is magical and she has a way of telling a story of everyday people and making it extraordinary. every life no matter how common place and ordinary can tell an amazing story. all in all i have read this book over and over and it stills teaches me soemthing new everytime. other great books by this other are Green Angel, Ice Queen, and Practical Magic.

5/5 stars, Big twists, long series, and hard to put down. mis-leading and complex plot

P.J. Currier

Aldous Huxley

Brave New World

The author’s objective was to write a fantasy about the future that serves to criticize the present.

The author’s main themes are mass production of human embryos, and future dystopia.

If I would have to compare this book to any other, it would be 1984.

My conclusions on this book are that it is good and it sheds a critical light on the present.

The Ultramarines omnibus

Dan Otteson
Graham McNeill
The Ultramarines Omnibus
Nightbringer/Warriors of ultramar/Dead sky black sun
The authors objective in writing this book was to bring to life the semi-popular universe of Warhammer 40k, which is a tabletop miniatures game created by the Games workshop company. The audience for this book realistically is anyone who enjoys books of the science fiction genre, but the specific target audience is anyone familiar with the warhammer universe.
The authors main themes follow the Ultramarine chapter of the Space marines as the fight the enemies of the emperor of mankind across the galaxy. He writes Three novels following these heroes of humanity and the compiles them all into one book, which is the ultramarines omnibus.
My conclusion about the ultramarines omnibus is that it is three exelent novels combined into an even better book. I would advise this book to anyonje who enjoys a substantial amount of reading, or anyone who enjoys a fast paced and engaging story line set in a science fiction world.
I would rate this book overall with four out of five stars.
The shining by: Stephan King

The book is mind blowing. I don’t want to put the book down. I want to keep reading to find out what happens next. You learn more and more about the main characters and other characters as you get further into the book. The book tells about the husband and why they had to move and why he had to find a new job. Jack tells us what happened by reminisces of what happened back at the high school he worked at. He reminisces about when he broke his sons arm. Then there’s Danny who sees his dead friend every time he passes out and has his visions. I enjoy reading this book it gets more and more intense as it goes on. Something new either pops up in or im learning something new. I’d give this book a 5 star rating.

James Patterson's The Jester

Hugh De Luc just wanted to live a simple life with his wife but that all changed when one day an army of crusaders arrive in their town. Lead by bald shabby looking monk atop a simple mule. The crusaders came looking for new recruits and lured them in with the promise of unimaginable rewards, riches, spoils, and honor. Few men wanted to go even less actually had the nerve to. Hugh was drawn in by the simple monk’s words but he could feel his wife’s hand holding him back.
Day’s later eight knights upon warhorses come to the town looking for those who left with the monk. The knights punish the families of those who followed the monk. Within the next few days Hugh decides to leave and join a crusade as he leaves the town his wife Sophie gives him half of her prized comb along with provisions for his trip.
Hugh and the crusade march staying behind all of the fighting missing out on their chance for honor. Eventually Hugh’s crusade get close to the action they come across a town still burning bodies litter the ground and they slowly discover that it’s what’s left of peters army.

A Child Called "It"

A Child Called “It”
By David Peltzer

Taking each day at a time, David always finds something to keep him going. He is a young boy, still in elementary school. David is a “bad boy”- everyday he is punished for things he does wrong, and sometimes for things he doesn’t do wrong. His mother and the rest of his “family” treat him as if he is nothing. A “prisoner of war” is how David best describes his life, because basically that is truly how he is treated. His mother makes him do things that no human being should even have to think of.
This book, I thought was one of my favorite books I have read. The things that happen in the story broke my heart and made me feel so much for this little boy. This is a true story about the author of the book; he is sharing his story with the world by writing this book. When you read the words off the pages you can almost put your self right there with him and to me that was what made me not want to put the book down. After reading this. I’ve continued to read the sequels because it is such a powerful story.
I rate this 4 out of 5 stars. .
