Shogun

Brynden, Gross

Shogun

By: James Clavell

I think this is a very interesting book because they constantly make you think of how old tradition was in the Far East and the customs that other nations had to adapt. I think that the author objective was to inform and intrigue the reader into the amazing structure of Japanese culture and the political structure of feudal age Japan after the European country’s try and make it a Christian nation which stirs up all the lords into fighting each other for the title of Shogun. I would compare this to some other books by this author like tai-pan or rat-king this was the first part to the books which I believe this was the best even though they all have to do with the Far East. I think the conclusion to this book won’t ever get boring and that more add-ons to this book could easily be made to extend the story.

Overall id give it * * * */ * * * * * because you like the book but there are something’s that aren’t humanly possible that the book describes reading.
