By: Reymundo Sanchez

5 Stars

I liked the book a lot it tells about the story of his life from struggling with things at home to the gangs on the streets. I recommend this book cause its real the events that happen occur to people day by day. The attend audience would be teens and adults.

The main theme of this book is some dudes in a pow camp but t hers thin one guy one trades (which isn’t allowed) and has a lot of stuff and theirs this one guy trying to catch him but has not prevailed.

It starts out really slow and doesn’t get very good until the end of chapter 2

I’d give it 3½ only read it if you have to read

KURT VONNEGUT’S
CATS CRADLE
Cats cradle so far is actually very interesting. Strange, but interesting. Jonah the narrorator is writing a book about the day the atomic bomb was dropped. So he writes a letter to the creators son. Who is a midget. We learn the creator is Felix Hoenikker, a quiet seeming person who created things that interested him. We learn that he creates a thing called ice-nine which is a alternitive structure of ice that melts at a much higher degree, (around 114 I believe). Ice nine can destroy the world if any of it was to come in contact with a ocean. I learned that he actually did make It and his 3 kids have a sample each.
Main theme: truths? Religion?
Conclusion: good odd strange keeps my attention plan on finishing.

Shogun

Shogun

By: James Clavell

I think this is a very interesting book because they constantly make you think of how old tradition was in the Far East and the customs that other nations had to adapt. I think that the author objective was to inform and intrigue the reader into the amazing structure of Japanese culture and the political structure of feudal age Japan after the European country’s try and make it a Christian nation which stirs up all the lords into fighting each other for the title of Shogun. I would compare this to some other books by this author like tai-pan or rat-king this was the first part to the books which I believe this was the best even though they all have to do with the Far East. I think the conclusion to this book won’t ever get boring and that more add-ons to this book could easily be made to extend the story.

Overall id give it * * * */ * * * * * because you like the book but there are something’s that aren’t humanly possible that the book describes reading.

The Sword of Shannara

Lonnie St. John

Terry Brooks

The Sword of Shannara

The authors objective in writing this book is to entertain people with the fantastic universe he has created in his mind, to give people an escape from the troubles and stress of the real world and envelope them in a world of magic and adventure. One of the things that Terry Brooks does really well is he always tells things with a deep air of mystery and describes things in painstaking detail, but does it without boring you to death. The authors main themes in this book have a lot to do with how people need to believe in themselves and amazing things can happen, you need to be a leader to accomplish things in life.

The book is about Shea Ohmsford, a half-human, half-elven man who is whisked away on a fantastic adventure to save the world, cliché, I know, but it done amazingly. I personally give this book a 5 star rating, I’ve read many books and I can honestly say that this is the best book I’ve ever read.
